Interessengemeinschaft der Marktbeschicker Münster/Westf. e.V.

On August 19 1985 the "Interessengemeinschaft der Marktbeschicker Münster/Westf. e.V." was founded, initiated by Franz Jaspers and 8 colleagues. This association primarily understands itself as a middleman who represents the interests of all market vendors towards the city council (the oragniser of the farmer's market). Since its foundation until February 2006 Mr Jaspers was 1. Chairman of this association.

Due to reasons of age he retired on february 13 2006 and had been voted unanimously to president of honour.

At the same time the executive board has been newly-elected.

The executive board of the association is striving to forward all requests, desires and questions of all market colleagues to the respective contact person. They regard it as their duty to consolidate the market community and to represent them in public.

At the moment, the following larger projects have been initiated:

• The cleanliness of the public toilets at the Domplatz is looked after and ensured since June by an employed cleaner.
• Partnerships have been established between public services and selected vendors for the electrical countersink devices.
• The conception, development and implementation of the market's internet presentation.
